Tyler M. Harris , Esq.

Tyler Harris is an associate with Ferrone Law Group. Tyler specializes in representing Public Safety personnel against criminal prosecution, administrative investigations, and in critical incidents and trials. Tyler grew up in a law enforcement family and has experience with many of the issues facing officers. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Willamette University with a double major in Rhetoric and Politics, culminating in a thesis focused on law enforcement. He then attended Pepperdine University School of Law, graduating with distinction as an Honors Trial Advocate and Member of The Order of Barristers. While at Pepperdine, Tyler distinguished himself in appellate advocacy, winning the International Moot competition against law students from The Honourable Society of The Middle Temple in London and advancing to the quarter-final round of the Moriarty Moot Court competition at Pepperdine. Tyler also won second place in the Cipolla Closing Argument Competition, then took up leadership roles with Pepperdine’s award-winning interschool trial advocacy program, sitting on the executive board and leading successful competition teams in both San Francisco and San Diego. Tyler has worked previously with The Honorable Robert C. Jones in the District of Nevada, the firm of Chong, Nishimoto, Sia, Nakamura, and Goya in Honolulu, Cubism Law in London, and spent extensive time with the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office. While with the District Attorney’s office, Tyler argued in court during the prosecution of a wide range of criminal offenses from misdemeanors to strike felonies and conducted a successful misdemeanor jury trial. Since joining the Firm, Tyler has continued to distinguish himself in workers’ compensation litigation and is now focusing on criminal defense and discipline work, helping injured workers through complex medical and legal issues.
