Mark Hayman, CPA

Mark Hayman is the firm’s Chief Financial Officer and Firm Administrator. He is responsible for all finance and accounting functions, including budgeting, financial and managerial reporting, internal controls, compliance reporting and tax planning and management. Additionally, he works closely with the firm’s key management on strategic planning and development and oversees the firm’s daily operations.

Mark is a licensed CPA with over 20 years of experience. Prior to joining the firm, Mark began his career in public accounting as a financial auditor and tax preparer. He transitioned to the small business world as the accounting manager at a real estate development company before moving to the corporate world. Mark spent 15 years working for a large biotech company and an international safety company, specializing in research and development accounting, financial reporting and accounting for foreign exchange derivative instruments and complex transactions. Mark has led multiple teams of professionals across his various roles, focusing on building strong teams and empowering staff to cultivate efficient and sustainable operations. Mark’s varied and extensive professional experience and his many family ties to first responders allow him to provide unique insight and perspective in his role.

Mark earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Economics with an emphasis in Accounting from UC Santa Barbara.
